Thanks. Now, I have a floppy drive, but what I don't have is a floppy with SATA drivers on it. I thought "...what the heck?!" and stuck the DVD copy in the second disk drive.Worked like a charm! Can someone give me the direct link to where they tell you about these discs. BUT there was a person who solved my problem:I did this:set my bios to boot up in this order:HDD, floppy and then CDThen I change "C:/i386" to "E:/i386"That's all... Join over 733,556 other people just like you! - On bootup when the error message comes up my keyboard and mouse seem to be disabled and I cannot hit 'ok' or change the location of the files.

i dont know who was the first person to sugest sucha simple thing as u simply swap ur drive but to taht man much respect is due something so simple and Though I think the fix involves the registry edit described here and elsewhere as the report it gave me after the fix said it had fixed corrupted class filter drivers. it seemed like it wasnt even trying to read my CD-ROM drive at all..I fixed this problem by going into the bios and changing the SATA from AHCI to IDE.
