I wish that there were more in the way for competition for them out there beyond open source projects like QGIS. I tried Fatema Akram's suggestion of disabling background processing in the Geoprocessing Options menu. Turn Off Background Geoprocessing
We are attempting to save to a > shapefile not a geodatabase. For the last few days, whenever I tried to do anything using ArcToolbox of ArcMap 10.1, it failed showing the same error (Error 001143 background server threw an exception). How to perform a flat spin?
Are there 10 million polygons? I run background processing all the time (for convenience and to take advantage of the 64-bit processing) and haven't had any related problems since. Although your experience sounds similar to mine, the fact that you don't get the message gives me some small degree of hope that I'm merely doing something wrong. Background Server In my case, I was trying to make a buffer of a point shapefile that someone else had made when the background server threw an exception. Could the atmosphere be depleted and put in to bottles? Second, are you working from a single geodatabase?
When I click on the Error message after it pops up on the lower right side of the screen, it says "ERROR 001143: Background server threw an exception." Anyone can help Resample raster? I have a smaller polyline layer as the input and another larger polyline routes layer as the input routes layer. Are there 10 million polygons? There is an attribute called "reach code" in both feature classes and they match, this tool will allow me to see "to" and "from" on the input layer when done. How does Professor McGonagall know about the Golden Trio's conversation? I have tried disabling background processing but that has not made a difference. Of course when you do this, the function can only be performed as a 32 bit operation, meaning that you can only use 4 GB of RAM. I was literally exporting shapefile to CAD files the day before, and then today, this error message pops up.
